CLEMENTINES FOR BLUES!

The weekend is arriving! Weather is co-operating!
What more could one ask?

The week has been full of ups and downs in the news with losses and achievements. Also, in Ontario, a report was published with all the gloom it could muster for this dear province.
Historically, Ontario was considered to be a thriving economy, often sharing that surplus in with the overall state of the country's finance. It is going to take time to recover/rebuild.

That aside, it is the weekend to celebrate "family" here so, for a brief moment, people will shrug off that death-knell for the economy.

Thought I'd share this bowlful of clementines as they sit on the dining room table.
BOWL OF LARGE CLEMENTINES!
They are a spot of cheer for sure!

These orange globes remind me of the stories my Mother used to tell about receiving the proverbial orange as part of their Christmas gift back in the day. Always reminds me of another reason to be thankful.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Enjoy!

I used to hear those stories, too, about tangerines and oranges being the Christmas gift left in stockings. And what a treasure it was to receive, too :)

In WV my mom said that's what she got. Of course, they were very poor during that time.
A few pieces of hard candy as well.
Times have changed.
Blessings.

Thanks, Barb! Now that you mention it, I recall mention of that hard candy, too.
Best on your book!
