HEAT WAVE IS FOR THE BIRDS!

A bit of this and that…

MOURNING DOVES IN THE SHADE!
This heat wave is having an impact on everyone!

The perennials in my garden have peaked and this hot weather is hastening their decline. Hope they revive soon!

A family of mourning doves has been chilling out in a very leafy tree in our backyard.

This week, I saw fireflies for the first time in many years. Beautiful!

Here's to some cooler days ahead!

We have been having AWESOME weather in St. Louis this week--like the beginning of September weather. I'm getting spoiled. Last week, however, was UNBEARABLE! Hope yours improves soon. :) Nice photo.

Margo, so glad you are enjoying good weather in St. Louis!
I think that the heat wave in Ontario coincided with yours or followed, not sure.
Thankfully, it ended last Friday. There was a huge storm & it left some damaged trees and hydro wires behind. I wrote about it in my other blog, inspired by a prompt as well as the weather.
