November seems to be a month to celebrate and to commemorate saints and souls and past events.

Just back from a visit to the Garden State to celebrate a wedding and to take a couple of days away.
The weather co-operated, for the most part, and the big day went along happily for the newlyweds and their guests.

Trees in beautiful shades of red and orange decorated the landscape for the journey through New York state.

The timing was perfect for a visit to a New Jersey treasure -- the botanical gardens.  The historic setting was beautiful in its natural fall colours.

The return trip took a bit longer with stops in the Finger Lakes region at a small town called Skaneateless where there are many shops and places to stay including a rustic cabin setting.

The final stop was Niagara Falls. Every few years, it is great to visit this natural wonder and to catch a photo or two.

Enjoy the cool November days!
